ISPO Munich 2023 Recap

It's been a little over a week since the return of our last trade show of 2023 – and what a finale it was! After weeks of preparation – and anticipation – it was wonderful to be back at a snowy and cold ISPO, which took place on November 28-30, 2023 to meet with many industry customers, colleagues and friends! According to Messe München reports, ISPO Munich featured 2,400 exhibitors and drew about 50,000 visitors, making it the leading international sports fair. The number of foreign exhibitors, who came to Munich from a total of 54 countries, increased by 64 per cent, thus raising their share among all exhibitors to 93 per cent. With a total of ten stages, ISPO Munich catered to the increased demand for the conference and supporting programs, as well as the stronger desire for opportunities for sharing. The energy of the show flowed into our booth, resulting in many positive meetings with leading brand and mill partners over the course of three days to learn more about our certified sustainable textile solutions to include our expanded creora® Bio-Based elastane offering made with higher content of renewable resources and our GRS-certified 10o% recycled regen Ocean nylon made from discarded fishing nets. Fabrics and concept garments made with our soft-stretch creora® EasyFlex elastane among many other 100% recycled regen Nylon and Polyester performance yarns were on display. Highlights of the show included our collaboration with Tefron and Santoni, two of the leading global seamless companies, to introduce a new generation of sustainable sportswear and seamless apparel, which was a resounding success. We also had a collaborative display of fabrics developed by out Portuguese Mill Partners made with our creora® Bio-Based elastane and creora® EasyFlex elastane to showcase our nearshoring textile solution for brands looking to source fabrics in Europe.
